Ardin PalomydesThis is a featured page

Ardin Palomydes is the commander of the 238th legion in the year 1E511. Ardin was born and raised in the hills near Beltar city. The 238th is stationed at Fort Lucine which is two days march from Welgan and 4 days ride from Reurin. Ardin’s parents were poor farmers and being the youngest of many siblings in a poor family he left his family to serve his nation. Although he has been a very successful commander, his military career and melee fighting has always been in the shadows of his inherent magic powers. As a young soldier he once saved himself and fellow soldiers from certain death by spontaneously combusting a squad of fearsome Bog’Slarrgs. A mage in the special forces division of the legion noticed his talent and showed brought him before the Nathanialian Battlemage Order for training. Focusing on practical magics Ardin soon became a full member of the order and returned to his post in the legion. The ability to use magic in combat is something that always seems to inspire the men and Ardin was repeatedly promoted for inspiring the men. At the age of 55 (in the year 1E509) Commander A. Palomydes was given command of a small legion in a remote but important area. Unfortunately his legion was not present when it was needed in Welgan; the forces of the 238th were spread pursuing Bog’Slarrg insurgents across the South Salenheim Highlands.
