Queen Diachas of the Pains -

Minor Goddess of Terror

______________________________

Physical Description :

Diachas was the son of Harajat and *someone else*, born through her mothers death and twisted and descended by her hatred of all men and gods. She is a tall, pale woman with black hair and black eyes with no pupils. She wears a long cloak and hood from head to toe. Diachas has four arms, two of which carry a spiked chain, and the other two of which bear obsidian falchions. Her title of queen is entirely self-imposed through her jealousy and spite for all other gods.

Teachings:

Diachas teaches nothing but hatred for other men, though she also condones the arts too dark for even Harajat, those of death, dark magic and pain beyond the realms of mortal imagination.

Followers:

The Queen has almost no followers throughout all of Salenheim, restricted to small and fanatical cults in remote parts of Salenheim. The most famous of these was the cult in ***, responsible for many violent crimes in its area of the South. This Cult was finally laid to rest by the heroic battle-mage ***.

Symbol:

The symbol of Diachas is a simplified pair of skeletal hands bearing a chain. In her 'temples' she is usually shown as an obsidian and agate statue, fully armed and armoured in a battle-ready stance.

Avatar:

Diachas has only once been known to create an avatar, a woman who wreaked havoc throughout Salenheim, raising monsters and commiting crimes more terrible than any man should have to bear. This avatar was finally defeated by the most famous and powerful avatar of Konrad. (The subject of the Sword of Beltar game.)

Appearances:

The Queen of the Pains has never appeared to the public of Salenheim, though there have been reports of Diachas appearing in the dreams or hallucinations of dying men, as well as men who have done great wrong in their lives.
