AppearTristan K Slate is a well-known member of both the 41st and 42nd Just Buff Leagues, as Fourth in Command, Scout/Sniper and self-proclaimed '5|_|P4 |337 )-(4X012' in the 41st, and Leader and General Gunsmith in the 42nd. He has become a well-known figure through his exploits with these vigilantes, growning from a small suburban past into a hero for all the galaxy.

Biography

Tristan Kaleb Slate was born in the early years of 6969, to a rich family on the planet of Cailfron. Early in his teenage years he developed a rebellious streak, and disobeyed his parents, spending his time with a street gang from the suburbs, developing skills he would use in later life, and generally wreaking havoc. However, at the age of 17, his life would change for ever, the Just Buff League exploding in, in their customary fashion. He returned from a night out with his gang, and, while being chastised for his lateness by his parents, heard a knock on the door. His father answered the door, and was promptly murdered by Steelo McBuff, leader of the 41st Just Buff League. Shortly afterwards, Burgenstein McSocrates killed his mother. They under suspicion for being money launderers and fraudsters, though this was never proved.
It never really needed to be - Tristan had hated his parents anyway, however, he was a skilled actor, and after his impressions of grief and anxiety, the drunken Burgo adopted him, much as he would regret this in future. The JBL employed Tristan as a secretary for nearly a year, while he lived in the Buff Cave and picked up what he could from observing the men. Finally, his stress and anger at being treated as a servant came to a head on being forced by Steelo to process the legality's of his own parent's deaths. He challenged Steelo with his own hands, possibly the silliest thing done in the whole year. Instead of snapping the teenager, Steelo, impressed with his nerve, or at least his anger, offered him a job within the league, caused by the forced retirement of his predecessor Deeno.
Steelo became Tristan's hero, and the rest of the League grew to like him, apart from his preferences for luxury - he was the epitome of a spoiled brat, with a rich aunt several planets away catering to his every whim. He lasted the years under Steelo's reign and, upon the two leaders retirement, he stepped up to fill the role required, forming the 42nd League and undertaking many more adventures against the evil of the galaxy.

Weapons-of-choice

Tristan is well-known for supporting the luxury weapons brand Excelsior Prestige, and his early ranged weapons come exclusively from that house, his rifle being a special signature edition Excelsior Prestige Halberd. As a sidearm he carried an Excelsior Prestige Rapier. As hand to hand weapons he bore a pair of tasers, until he undertook his ninja training, after which he used a pair of sai.
After the creation of the 42nd, Tristan began carrying a pair of Ownagetek XB37 sub-machine guns, though he carried on with his Rapier and Sai.

Skills

Tristan's major skills are his great speed and agility, as he able to run faster and jump higher that any other characters, especially when afraid. He is extremely skilled with weapons, especially his Halberd, though he suffers considerably in more strength-oriented areas, such as heavy lifting. He lacks confidence and charisma, especially when speaking to women. He survives in melee combat due to his great speed, using a 'thousand cuts' approach. His computer skills are equaled by few others in the galaxy.

Appearance

Tristan is of average height, slim with dark hair and blue eyes, though he bleaches his hair dor a short time during his time as leader of the 42nd manifestation. His hair is worn relatively long, and held out of his eyes by a woolen head band, which, he says, his aunt knitted him. He wears a black hooded jacket, black shirt and cargo pants.
